MBTI is a simple framework for representing a person's personality. MBTI represents personality at its most fundamental subconscious level: Hierarchy of thought. There are 8 fundamental categories of thought that cover every possible type of thought:
Examples: Si thought = "This sofa feels just like the one we had in my old house." Te thought = "Let's organize the tasks by priority so we can finish on time." Fe thought = "Is everything okay? You seemed a bit off earlier today." These fundamental categories of thought are nicknamed functions. Functions placed in specific orders are representations of personality at its most fundamental level. Eg: The INFJ is a personality with the function hierarchy of:
Our website Devil.ai organise these categories of thought (or functions) into a hierarchy based off of how you answer questions. Devil.ai organise your thoughts by priority of thought. (How often you think them) Functions at the top of the hierarchy are thought the most. Functions at the bottom are thought the least or are the least valued:
Categorising all possible types of thought and then putting them into a hierarchy is a fundamental representation of personality at its most fundamental level. There are 16 fundamental personality types:
* The personalities above are represented with their first 4 conscious functions only. Class names Hero, parent, child etc... When you're with your friends you may act in a certain way. When you're with your family you may act in another way. When you are with a single friend you may act in yet another way. These differences in how you express yourself are fundamentally different personalities. These different personalities come fundamentally from different groups of feelings in your mind. These different personalities have different needs, desires and unique ways of thinking and feeling. These are fundamentally different people in your mind. Every function in the hierarchy of your personality must be considered as a person in your mind with unique thoughts and feelings. These people have arranged themselves in your mind into a hierarchy relative to what functions you value the greatest. The person at the top is called the hero:
If you had a group of people in your mind, who would be at the top of that group? Obviously it would be the personality you would consider as your hero to lead you through life. Who would be next in that hierarchy? Naturally you would assume it would be something like a child personality that holds all your desires and wishes and wants. However there must be somebody before that who says no. Something along the lines of a parent. This is why you have a parent class in second, below the hero but above the child class who makes decisions over the child's desires. Next comes the child class in the third position. And what would fundamentally come after a child that gets all that it wants and desires? Obviously it would be an inferior type personality. This is a fundamental subconscious hierarchy uncovered by John Beebe that was every single thing to unlock. The next 4 after the inferior are treated as people who are subconscious in the mind's hierarchy b/c they exist so far down the hierarchy. Every function plays a fundamental role relative to it's position in the hierarchy: An Ni Hero strongly favours thinking of their future. An Fe Parent responsibly manages other's feelings. A Ti Child delights in logical thoughts. An Se Inferior fears or resists present moment experiences. An Ne Nemesis worries over or doubts other people's intentions. An Fi Critic harshly critiques personal principles. An Te Trickster misses or overlooks organisational thinking. An Si Demon rejects or opposes thoughts of the past. These fundamental descriptions give a person understanding over their own inner subconscious mind. They give awareness over how you fundamentally think. This is the beginning of accessing and controlling your own subconscious mind.
